THE RIVER

A Step of Faith
And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.
John 12:32
In 2001, our then worship director, Lisa Green, received a word from God- He showed her a worship night dedicated to musical praise.
He said to test Him and see what wonders He might work in our midst when we made it our sole purpose to worship Him. From the start, He made it clear that our only role was to simply give Him praise.

A Name
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Revelation 22:1-2
During a dinner conversation with some of our elders, they were struck by the symbolic significance of the river through scripture. The river was a river of life; a fountain of living water; a place of baptism; a source of life flowing directly from the throne room of heaven to the nations. We believed in faith that through this night, we would literally be receiving from that very river.

A Quiet Revolution
...so where the river flows everything will live.
Ezekiel 47:9
What started as a simple act of faith has become a lifeblood staple of our community. God has kept true to his promise beyond our wildest imaginings. For 24 years, every time we gather together with no agenda other than to praise Him, He pours out His Spirit, His presence, and His love changing hearts, minds, and souls. It has become a one-of-a-kind night for a one-of-a-kind encounter.
